As I got used to the life in Vancouver, I started to realize that something was wrong with my pronunciation. In addition, my Canadian friends told me that my strong Japanese accent made my English ability sound lower than it actually is . I tried ESL pronunciation classes, however I could learn only some phrases, and the instructors didn't seem to know how to breakdown the pronunciation patterns to teach to international students.
At L2 Accent Reduction, Jennifer taught me how to pronounce each sound by showing how to use the mouth and the tongue, sometimes even face.
